Join us for a fun and exciting 4-week journey to learn what the Gospel is all about and how your 3rd Grader can respond to this Good News of God's Love for each child.
These hikes are planned by Linda Haba, whose goal is to organize a group of up to 6 people to meet monthly to walk around Greenlake. (Click on the Title or Graphic for more information)
This lovely 4 1/2-mile trail winds through a forest of huge trees down to the shore where you look across Puget Sound at the Olympic Mountains. Follow the trail to the lighthouse with a beautiful view of Mount Rainier (assuming it is not a cloudy day). Continue along the beach and then hike uphill (472 feet elevation gain) to the bluff with a stunning view of Puget Sound.
This beautiful place is a tranquil space designed to offer all the traditional elements of a Japanese garden. There are winding paths through spectacular trees, and lovely plants, as well as water features, ornate bridges, and stones leading up to “mountain-like perches all coming together to carry the soul through this peaceful experience.”

We are all reeling from a seemingly neverending series of tragic events. From gun violence in our schools, churches, grocery stores, and movie theaters, to racial violence, COVID, monkeypox, and the list goes on. How are we called to share hope with a broken world, to be a light in the darkness? Gather tonight to pray and lament as we lift up this sin-drenched world to one who gave his life to reconcile us to each other and to God our Father.
The spectacular 150-acre Bloedel Reserve has been described as a forest garden that was created by Virginia and Prentice Bloedel, under “the influence of the conservation movement and Asian philosophy.” The Memorial Wall commemorates the 276 Japanese and Japanese Americans who were exiled from their Bainbridge Island homes under President Roosevelt’s Order during World War II.

You will learn about this unique model of ECC — One Church Multi-Campus.
