In partnership with the Senior Pastor and Executive Director of Operations, the Executive Director of Ministry supports the mission and vision of UPC by providing strategic integration and alignment to all of UPC’s ministries while building and deploying effective processes for leadership development and management. Our mission is to be: a family of communities joining Jesus to transform our lives and the lives of neighbors at the University of Washington, in our neighborhoods, and all around the world.
The Associate Director is a member of the Children’s team and the larger Family Ministry team and provides support and leadership with kids ages birth to fifth grade and volunteer teams. This role is a part of the greater UPC staff team and supports the mission/vision of UPC.
Our desire in youth ministries at UPC is to create a strong community in which youth can encounter Jesus Christ, grow in their faith, and embody Christ in the world. We desire to partner with families and the entire congregation to support youth in developing a faith that will thrive in culture and context, helping them become life-long disciples of Jesus Christ. The Associate Director of Youth Ministries (ADYM) will work closely with the Director of Family Ministry, staff, elders, and lay leadership teams to maintain high quality programming and strong discipling relationships with youth and their families. ADYM will focus on building a scalable, biblical ministry — planning, implementing program, and training volunteers.
Join in creatively serving our local community, including college students, homeless youth, and our multi-generational congregation.
