The spectacular 150-acre Bloedel Reserve has been described as a forest garden that was created by Virginia and Prentice Bloedel, under “the influence of the conservation movement and Asian philosophy.” The Memorial Wall commemorates the 276 Japanese and Japanese Americans who were exiled from their Bainbridge Island homes under President Roosevelt’s Order during World War II.

How are we called to share hope with a broken world, to be a light in the darkness? Gather tonight to pray and lament as we lift up this sin-drenched world to one who gave his life to reconcile us to each other and to God our Father.
