Serve families with us!

Side-by-Side offers opportunities each year for families who have a child with cancer to get out of town and enjoy a break together. Volunteers come in droves to build friendships, community and FUN! The result? Everyone is filled to the brim with laughter, rest, and togetherness.

Camp is a classic summer camp experience, including horseback riding, a giant slip-and-slide, a ropes course, and so much more! Hosted at Camp Arnold near Eatonville.

Save the Date: August 4-10, 2018. Applications available in the spring.

Side-by-Side Family Support

Join Side-by-Side’s weekly relational response to the needs of families who have temporarily relocated to Seattle for medical treatment. Volunteer teams of two are matched with visiting families, and then the magic begins. Volunteers befriend patients and/or siblings to enjoy bowling, banana splits, bike rides, and everything in between!

Volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Ronald McDonald House

On Monday afternoons, Side-by-Side volunteers serve kids and families at Seattle's Ronald McDonald House by cooking dinner for 125, hosting a rousing game of BINGO, and getting artsy with the Art Cart.

We're looking for a few enthusiastic folks who love to slice and chop to serve as alternates on our Monday night dinner teams. When a regular team member is sick or unable to come, we'll call you. Dinner teams serve on Monday evening, 3-7pm. You must be 13 years or older.
