Sarah was born in Seoul, South Korea but immigrated to the U.S. with her family at a young age. As the daughter of an U.S. Army chaplain, she grew up in various parts of the U.S. and then went to school in Chicago. Sarah moved to the Pacific Northwest, and after working in the mental health field for some years, her desire to go into full-time ministry led her to work in Children’s Ministry at Federal Way Central Presbyterian Church and then at UPC in 2014. Her ongoing passion for church ministry has led her to pursuing her M.Div. at Regent College in Vancouver (online) while working part-time at UPC.
Sarah met her husband, Cameron, at UPC, where he also works on staff. When not working or studying, she and Cameron enjoy cooking, checking out great restaurants, connecting with family and friends, hiking, running, and playing board games.
