Ken leads the Outreach Department at University Presbyterian Church (UPC) which focuses on local outreach, global mission, and ministry with internationals.
Ken is a direct product of mission and outreach done well. He was born in Korea, where his extended family became Christians because missionaries lovingly shared the gospel. His family immigrated to the U.S. when Ken was four years old, settling in Northern California. Ken attended U.C. Berkeley and Princeton Theological Seminary, and he served churches in California, New Jersey, and Maryland, as well as Seoul, South Korea, before moving to Seattle. His hobbies include playing and watching sports (especially his beloved Bay Area sports teams), reading, and watching movies. He prefers birthday pie over cake.
