A new season at UPC

Transition Team

UPC Session has formed a transition team who has begun the work of prayerfully seeking God’s will to identify the right person to guide us during this time between Senior Pastors.

The Transitional Senior Pastor will play a pivotal role in guiding the congregation through a period of transition and preparing it for the next phase of ministry. Serving as both Head of Staff and Head of the Executive Team, this leader will be responsible for providing spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and administrative oversight.


Who is the Transition Team?

  • Session Elders: Ken Cornell, Renée Stearns, and Doug Taylor
  • Church Members: Andrew Hsieh, Anna James, Marcie Kellegrew, and Maggie Sweeney

Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC)

Once a Transitional Senior Pastor is in place, a Pastor Nominating Committee will be elected by the congregation to begin the process of seeking a new permanent Senior Pastor for UPC.
