Library Policies

Circulation Policy

All materials, including sermon and class tapes, need to be checked out and returned by the due date in order to keep the resources in circulation. Checkout is for a period of three weeks. Replacement donations for lost materials are $25 per book; $7 per audiocassette; $15 per CD; $20 per DVD. New materials can be checked out only after overdue materials are renewed, returned, or a donation has been made for replacement. There are no fines, but a patron may be blocked from further checkout if items are not returned.

Donation Policy
Donations are rarely accepted due to limited shelf space, and because the vast majority of books suggested for donation are already in the collection or would not circulate. If you have books you think may be an exception to this policy, please email a list of the titles, publishers, and publishing dates to Susan, and we will check if they are already in the collection, and if not, determine if they fit our selection policy. Books should be current (not published before 2009), in excellent shape (no underlining or highlighting), and in keeping with the selection policy which supports the beliefs of University Presbyterian Church. Monetary donations gladly accepted for purchases of newly published works in support of our sermon and class series. Please do not leave books for donation without prior approval by the librarian.
