Holy Land Task Force Presentation Update

You are invited to attend the UPC Holy Land Task Force Presentation: Part 2.
Come to UPC’s Geneva Hall or Zoom in athttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/85829296765?pwd=bEYvZ09wMmhHNUdBN2hVZkU3MnpYQT09 at NOON, Sunday, June 25, to
learn about what has taken place in the Palestinian territory of Gaza since 2003. Hear eyewitness testimony and facts on the ground that are causing many to question their support of Israel’s military campaign against Gaza, including many current and former members of the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) and inspiring some Israeli youth to burn their draft cards in protest.
The program will include Cindy Corrie, board president of the Rachel Corrie Foundation. Cindy is the mother of human rights activist and observer Rachel Corrie, who was killed in Gaza in 2003. Cindy has dedicated herself to the pursuit of peace and justice in the Middle East. She has made numerous visits to Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza, including as a co-leader of three Interfaith Peace-Builder delegations.
Next is a 10-minute documentary, “Ibrahim’s Tree,” which will depict a Gazan family whose home was destroyed twice by the Israeli bombing of Gaza.
Jen Marlowe, documentary filmmaker and founder of the Donkeysaddle Projects, will join us for a Q&A.
Our final speaker will be John Bosma, US Defense Department weapons expert, who will detail the weapons used against Gazan civilians and the scale of destruction of homes, schools, and hospitals in this 139-square-mile, walled-in enclave of more than 2 million Palestinians.
Learn what you can do in response to advocate for and share hope with those suffering injustice. There is hope, but there is work to be done and knowledge to spread.
