What to Expect When You’re at UPC

Masks are optional in worship and in our building.
We continue to recommend mask-wearing for those who are vulnerable or comfortable doing so.
Children 3–5 and those unable to be vaccinated are encouraged to wear masks.
We will continue to monitor local data, the Washington Department of Health, and the CDC and will be ready to ‘pivot’ if necessary.
We continue to encourage all who are able, to pursue vaccinations.

Covid and Kids

UPC’s Jennifer Kenney and Susanna Hoke sit down with Dr. Peter Gilbert—a professor and biostatistician at Fred Hutchinson Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division and Public Health Sciences Division.

All three are parents, and in this video they discuss the questions many parents have regarding vaccinating their children. Dr. Gilbert explains how vaccines work, some of the misconceptions about the covid vaccine, and how his Christian faith informs his work as a scientist.
