Global Friends is a multi-ethnic community where international students, scholars, professionals, and their families can enjoy a meal together, make friends, and learn more about American culture. For more information, sign up for our weekly email.

Fun & Games

All Levels English

Location: Room 350-355

Come practice English conversation while you have fun learning how to play games. Many games we play on the tabletop. We call these “board games.” After 4 weeks, this class will transition from indoor table games to discovering fun ways to learn, explore, and experience the local culture and a variety of attractions in and around Seattle.

 

What Do Christians Believe?

All English Levels

Location: Room 385

Are you curious? Learn what Christians believe. We will read some short portions of the Bible to learn its overall message. Questions are welcome.

Habits that Hurt

Intermediate to Advanced English

We’ll discover how Albert & Junia deal with their bad habits: buying too much stuff, working too much, blaming people, cruel gossip, sexual lust, controlling each other.  Will God’s love change them—and us?

Movie Club

Intermediate to Advanced English

Location: Room 390-395

Expand your English vocabulary and conversation skills as we enjoy a movie together. It features a group of children living at the time of Jesus. We will join them as they try to decide if they can trust him.

Cosmos Toastmasters Club

Advanced English

Location:  Room 340-345

Toastmasters is a public speaking club. Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
