Opportunities for Families with a Seriously Ill Child
Camp Side-by-Side
Stay tuned for 2011 Camp Dates
Camp Side-by-Side is a week-long camp experience designed to serve the needs of the entire family. For kids, it is a time to enjoy the climbing wall, the ropes course, the archery range, the campfires and lots of time to laugh and play. For the parents, the Tully's Coffee cart is a special treat, along with some time to rest, relax and meet other families that are on a similar journey. Camp Side-by-Side provides its own medical team to support families during the week of camp and a counselor for every child who comes. Camp is provided at no cost to families who have a child with cancer.

Family Support Program
We provide energetic, trained volunteers to spend time with your children (ill child and/or siblings) for three to five hours per week. If you could use a break or your kids just need a playmate, please email Marla Malone or call 206.524.7301, x273. We will set-up a time to get to know you and your kids to make the best match possible. For more information, check out our Who We Are page.
Ronald McDonald House Programs Side-by-Side offers an afternoon Homework Club for help with schoolwork from 4 pm-5 pm on Mondays. Our volunteers love to do worksheets, study for spelling tests and even help with the occasional algebra problem. When the homework is finished, we play lots of games and chat together.
Our Art Cart volunteers create masterpieces of popsicle sticks, watercolor paintings--the sky's the limit! Art Cart takes place during dinner on the second and fourth Monday of the month. We also cook dinner on the second and fourth Monday of each month in Building A, and in Building C on the second Monday of each month. Come by and say hi, we'd love to meet you!
