Language Institute at UPC

LI logo with flagsIn the last 25 years, more than 75,000 refugees have been accepted to resettle in King County. English language acquisition continues to be one of the most important factors in their ability to adapt successfully in our culture.

The Language Institute at UPC serves refugees and immigrants from over 25 different nations in the greater Seattle area by:

  • Tutoring English as a second language in small classes or one-on-one
  • Christian volunteers developing warm, caring relationships with students
  • Offering optional Bible studies when appropriate
