Share Hope...Through Youth Missions and Ministries
"Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths;
Guide me in your truth and teach me for you are my God,
my Savior and
my hope is in YOU all day long." Psalm 25:4–5
George has encouraged us to Share Hope in Jesus Christ. Not a hope that means "I wish," but rather a "certain or confident expectation." Here in Youth Mission and Ministry at UPC, we have a renewed sense of Hope—a certain and confident expectation that Christ is in our midst teaching us, bonding us, and sending us out. We are at work, strengthening ways in which students can:
- Explore, encounter, and experience life in Christ
- Create authentic community, learning to love each other and grow in purpose
- Live out a mission, a life that matters, announcing and demonstrating the love of God through Christ.
This Hope is not a one time event; it is a process that grows through retreats, mission trips, house boat adventures, mountaineering journeys, Bible studies, and many conversations over coffee. It comes through learning, acting, and reflecting, and sometimes by having a little more fun than is humanly possible. It
is hopeful, redemptive, and worth our investment. Thank you for sharing and supporting this vision with us in YMM.
