Young Adult Ministry at University Presbyterian Church
In Transition
Dear Friends,
As you may have heard, Jon Epps has decided to step down from his role as Director of Young Adult Ministries, offering to help Convergence—our Tuesday night young adult program—end well. University Presbyterian Church has always been committed to creating space for young adults to gather and live more deeply into their faith. This transitional period is no exception.
For the past five years, Jon has focused on building a community centered on service, leadership development, and engagement among the larger UPC family. As a result, our young adults have made invaluable contributions both inside and outside the walls of UPC. We want to continue to learn from and connect with this community and are working closely with young adult elders and leaders to re-imagine what the next iteration of this ministry will look like.
Jon, along with Brenna Hesch, our young adult ministry coordinator, have committed to helping us navigate this time of transition. If you have questions or would like to be a part of the next generation of young adult ministry at UPC, please contact one of our elders invested in this process:
Pete Andersen,
Lisa Sieberson,
Alex Suk, or
Andrew Barfoot. And of course, you can always
contact me directly with questions or concerns.
For the time being, we encourage those who are interested in learning more to join elders and young adults in Larson on Sundays at 6pm for conversation and dinner.
Please pray for patience and wisdom as we discern the best path forward. May this new chapter of young adult ministry be life-giving and inspire the next generation of leaders at UPC.
Warmly,
Rev. Andi Saccoccio
