Second Wind is the ministry for those seeking a fresh breath of the Spirit in the second half of life. We're nearly half of our University Presbyterian Church congregation and we take seriously the University Presbyterian Church mission statement, to Share Hope in Jesus Christ. We know from life experience and from reading the Word that God continues to call us to glorify Him and serve, even in our later years.
We're an active group that enjoys hiking, biking, skiing as well as cultural outings and service projects.
Join us on the Second Wednesday of each month at 1pm in Calvin Lounge. We have fascinating programs that aim to educate, inspire and engage!
We also sponsor a Sunday morning class for adults of all ages. The topics change and they are always based solidly on the Bible. We have a variety of teachers including both pastors and lay people from within the University Presbyterian Church family.
Second Wind is led by the OASIS team who guide and plan this vital ministry. OASIS is assisted by ministry coordinator, Sharon Bowler.
We hope you will come try Second Wind—we know you'll love it!
