Equipping & Congregational Care
Mental Health Advocate
I began serving UPC as Mental Health Advocate in 1994. My goal to offer a first class welcome and ongoing relational and spiritual support to folks living with mental illness and their long-suffering families. I am available to support and collaborate with UPC staff and lay leaders as we work together to support our congregation. I am available to UPC staff, lay leaders, and the congregation for presentations on practical skills training, stigma reduction, and mental health awareness education. I offer mini-internships for people wanting to learn how to facilitate groups and disciple individuals who may be hurting or difficult.
