This Lent: Practice Presence at Mary's Place
Tuesday, March 25–Tuesday, April 1, University Christian Church, 15th & 50th St.
Training: Wednesday, March 12, 6pm
Have you considered reaching out to those feeling hopeless in our city? Your simple presence can provide real comfort to the homeless in our community. Mary's Place offers shelters for women and children in local churches, providing support throughout the year. Join the UPC team, University Congregational (UCUCC) and U Christian to host at the Mary’s Place shelter for one week this quarter. Hosting is a hands on way to relate to one another and provide families a safe place to experience God's love. They will receive a hot shower, warm bed, program assistance, meals, childcare, and more as they get back on their feet.
