A note from Kelly Hampton, Associate Director for Preschool Services:

Hello! I am thrilled to join Team Side-by-Side and explore how to give kids the gift of play and friendship in a consistent, caring environment, and also encourage parents as they provide for their kids in unimaginable circumstances. I can’t wait to see the children’s faces when they walk into a room tailor-made for them—a place where they feel empowered to engage their curiosity because we have said YES to them!

In November, we will launch a preschool playgroup on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings in the playroom of the Ronald McDonald House. We are eager to learn more about the unique emotional, medical, and developmental needs of the kids and families we will serve. As time goes on, we plan to expand this playgroup into a more robust preschool program, providing developmentally-appropriate support for preschool kids whose families are dealing with serious illness.
